Here at Brown Heating & Cooling, our technicians are often asked, “Is it worth it to invest in a maintenance plan?” The idea of paying up front for potential services isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and we understand that for a lot of people a maintenance plan can seem like a waste of money. But the reality is, maintenance plans take a lot of the weight of basic maintenance off of your shoulders.

If you have spent any time reading our blog entries, you have probably noticed a common theme – regular maintenance, such as cleaning filters and checking to make sure there are no blockages in your HVAC system, is key to keeping major problems at bay. When your HVAC system is maintained on a regular basis, you end up with a heating and cooling system that lasts and doesn’t need expensive repairs. Instead of having to replace a system every 10-15 years, you could end up with a unit that’s almost in its 50s and still purring like a kitten!

Peace of Mind

Routine HVAC maintenance can take up a surprising amount of time, and many homeowners just forget to make HVAC checks part of their home care checklists. For those who find themselves forgetting to check air filters until problems happen, or who just don’t have the time to focus on one more maintenance project, a maintenance plan will help to keep things running as they should without all the extra hassle.

 

Priority Service

Maintenance plan subscribers can expect to receive priority service in the event that there is a problem with their HVAC system. That means if your system goes down, you will be at the top of the list for a visit from one of our techs, which means minimal time stuck in an uncomfortable home waiting for things to get up and running again.

 

Discounts & Freebies

As a maintenance plan subscriber, you can expect to receive a 10% discount on any repairs that need to be made to your HVAC system, in the event that something breaks. Subscribers also receive a free diagnostic assessment each year (an $89 value), so if you have a problem, a tech will figure out what’s wrong free of charge.

 

Annual Checkups

Every year you are a maintenance plan subscriber, you will receive an annual inspection of your HVAC system. This inspection is thorough, 21-point inspection of your system, meant to find any problems (large or small) that we need to be aware of. One of the great things about this check is that it allows us to identify any areas where there are potential energy savings, so you will always know your energy bill for heating and cooling is at the lowest point it could possibly be. We also do a thorough clean of the system, so that the air in your home remains clean and fresh throughout the year.
